Simon is Chairman at Milsted Langdon and has been a Partner at the firm since 2008. The breadth and depth of his expertise covers many areas, from business recovery, restructuring and insolvency advice, to intervention and legacy services, as well as his role as Chair, leading a practice of 21 partners and around 250 total staff across five offices.
Simon originally trained as an insolvency practitioner and is licensed in the UK by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has gained extensive experience dealing with all aspects of insolvency and business recovery.
Whilst he continues to deal with insolvency matters, having spent many years dealing with businesses facing financial challenges, he now uses the experience gained to help clients in a wide range of circumstances, assisting when decisions need to be made and then helping to ensure those decisions are implemented.
He leads the firm’s dedicated intervention team, helping businesses that have stumbled upon difficult times – this may be a board or shareholder deadlock or dispute or a key officer being incapacitated and needing to be replaced on an interim basis.
Simon also works with high-growth clients, providing advice on strategic development and how to manage growth sustainably, as well as looking at ways to improve existing successful enterprises that wish to adapt and change.
