Phil Wood has worked in IT for 30 years. He has worked his way up from first-line support of IBM XT’s running WordPerfect 4.2 to his current role as Head of I.T. Those roles have been spread across different industries including; Engineering, Hotel & Catering, Manufacturing and now Legal.

The last 20 years have been spent in the legal market beginning at the Manchester office of Davies Arnold Cooper and then moving to London to become Head of IT at Bristows in 1999. At Bristows over the last 16 years, the firm has moved a long way from Netware and MS Mail 3.5 on a 14k modem connection to the internet.

Having relocated to new offices in 2008 the challenges and systems continue to change and grow with upgrades to the latest versions of the PMS and DMS planned for this year.
