My role

I am head of the IT Group which consists of both the IT and the ACcelerate team.

I focus on innovation and improvement in technology, process, business model and culture for our clients and within the firm.

The ACcelerate team work within the firm to improve legal process and client delivery as well as building digital products to enhance the services we offer to our clients.

As a board member and a member of our senior management team at Anthony Collins I play a key role in the strategy and direction of the business.

One of my passions is people development and I am part of our executive coach bank and our mentoring scheme.

My experience

My whole career has been underpinned by a desire to provide an excellent service to others and solve the ‘unsolvable’ problems that exist.

I have 25+ years’ experience in IT, with the last 18 years spent leading and managing teams and large scale business change projects. Prior to working in the legal sector, I worked extensively in IT in the education sector across schools and universities.

I studied part-time at Sheffield Hallam University (SHU), obtaining my degree (first) in Networks and Communications whilst also working there full-time. It was at SHU that I found a passion for solving problems and also project management. My dissertation was based on the failure of IT Projects.

This journey led me to obtaining my PRINCE 2 practitioner certificate and also to become a Lean Six Sigma black belt.

I have an interest in improving the efficiency of delivering a legal service to clients whether that be through technology, process or cultural change.
