Paul Bennett is a specialist solicitor who advises law firms on professional discipline, compliance, and partnership matters. He works closely with COLPs, COFAs, General Counsel and Managing Partners on internal investigations and self-reports to the SRA, and represents firms and senior individuals facing SRA and SDT investigations. He is regularly instructed on complex, high-stakes regulatory matters, including reserved legal activities (he acted in the landmark Mazur matter), anti-money laundering and workplace culture, for clients ranging from international and US firms to regional practices.
Paul trains hundreds of lawyers each year in the UK and internationally, and is the author of three books on SRA compliance published by Law Brief Publishing, with a fourth, AI for law, due to be published in September 2026.
A Chartered Manager, in addition to being a Solicitor, he is obsessed with high performance, supervision, productivity, decision making and habits. Paul believes good management stems from skills, habits and positioning, all of which are skills to be developed and maintained.
