My background and experience is primarily in professional services businesses, including accounting practices, plus 5 years in software development and SaaS (Software as a Service).
For accounting practices specifically, I have experience with all the various perspectives. I trained and worked in client facing roles for 15 years with a particular focus on financial outsourcing. I have been a client of accountancy practices as the head of finance for an EIS investment backed business requiring audit, investment advisory and tax advisory services. And now I help to manage CT: Accountants Advisors in my role as CFO.
I have a passion for process efficiency and quality data collection and presentation to deliver insights and support decision making. At CT I work across our senior leadership team of partners and directors to support them with the information and guidance they need to drive the business and their individual operational units.
I also volunteer with my local scout group as both group treasurer and a beavers leader. While helping the Trustee Board to understand and manage the finances of the charity is more relevant, being the beavers leader is definitely more fun!
