Kirill Rifert is Lead Counsel, MEA and Digital at Nutreco, where he provides strategic legal and compliance counsel to regional leadership across the Middle East and Africa and to Nutreco’s Digital Function.
His work sits at the intersection of international legal leadership, emerging-market complexity, and digital transformation. He advises on legal risk, governance, and innovation, with a particular focus on data privacy, AI regulation and governance, intellectual property, digital platforms, and strategic technology partnerships. He also supports cross-border compliance programs across more than 30 jurisdictions and advises on complex matters involving evolving regulatory and geopolitical risk, M&A and integration, sensitive investigations, and legal structuring in emerging markets.
Working closely with business leaders and colleagues across Sales, HR, Internal Audit, Finance, and other functions, Kirill is focused on making legal and compliance practical, accessible, and firmly embedded in business decision-making.
Before joining Nutreco in 2026, Kirill spent approximately 12 years at Danone, progressing through a range of legal and compliance roles. During that time, he developed broad international experience in business partnering, compliance culture, legal-process improvement, and legal innovation.
Kirill has served on the Alternative In-House Europe Advisory Board since 2024. He previously spoke at the organization’s Amsterdam conference, where he shared practical experience from deploying chatbots within the legal function. He is passionate about helping legal teams turn complex regulation into clear, workable solutions and become more innovative, collaborative, and business focused.
